Recipe for Success

With a motto like this, Joy Bagga was born to excel in
business. Add the ability to speak four languages –
English, Cantonese, Punjabi and Hindi – to the mix, and you have a recipe for success.
Joy immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong in the 90′s and her love for real estate led to a career as a Realtor. “I want to help people make the most important decision in their lives, especially those buying a home for the first time, from families and couples to investors and the new generation of buyers,” says Joy, a mother of three.
As a driven and disciplined entrepreneur, she runs her own business – The Joy Bagga Team, which includes her full-time Assistant, Buyer/Showing Agent, 24/7
Mortgage Broker and Marketing Team. Her business is associated with Keller Williams Elite Realty, a leading real estate company in North America with over 80,000
associates. In 2011, Joy ranked #1 out of 250 agents in her office, and was in the Top 5% of Realtors in the
Lower Mainland.
“I understand the mechanisms of real estate, in terms of perspectives for both the buyer and seller and I’m not here to make a quick sale,” she says. “I am
honest and provide both the positive and negatives
aspects of each property to not only allow my clients to make an informed decision, but to ensure they are happy and satisfied with their purchase or sale.”
Joy’s innate ability to connect with her clients to
understand their needs/wants is an asset, in addition to her knowledge of cultural preferences. She understands what factors are important to South Asian clients. Joy is familiar with Feng Shui practices, an important factor for Chinese buyers, which allows her to successfully market homes to this group. She also advices Builders on the
construction of Feng Shui friendly homes.
Joy has the ability to look at your home through the eyes of a buyer, and says staged homes sell for
increased profit. As a result, she doesn’t list homes without
consulting with clients to ensure the home is staged and suitable for potential buyers.
“What you buy today you are going to sell tomorrow. I want to do a good enough job with you today so I can have you as my client for life,” says Joy.
She is a strong negotiator and each negotiation is done in person, and also markets homes through online and traditional channels.
Her advice to female entrepreneurs is “Stay focused, dream big and don’t be afraid to pursue your dreams!”
