It takes a true visionary to design a home or development. With Simplex Home Design, you get two visionaries with this dream design team comprised of father and son. Principal Vikram Singh and his son Tejeshwar, managing director of Simplex’s new Vancouver office, bring forth their expertise and experience providing architectural, design and construction solutions for customers.

“We have first-time homeowners to builders coming to us with a blank slate; we can coordinate everything for them from start to finish to make it a smooth process providing excellent service and high quality of work meeting deadlines. We also have a great reputation with city municipalities throughout the Lower Mainland,” says Tejeshwar.

Over the last three decades, Simplex has proved to be a pioneer in architectural home design services in Canada, the United States and India. This company has been involved in single-family to multi-family dwellings; small to large-scale developments; and interior design and tenant improvements.

After studying architecture at the University of Delhi, Vikram worked for a reputable firm in Delhi dealing with international projects, and then he left to start his own interior construction company for 10 years. He immigrated to Canada in 1989 and launched Simplex Home Design, which is now a group of companies including Simplex Consultants Ltd., a consulting firm, and Simplex Development, which specializes in project management and coordination, predominantly at the new Vancouver office.

Tejeshwar, who also has his Bachelors in Architecture from BCIT, followed in his father’s footsteps and often worked with him during the summer holidays to today, where he is the Managing Director of Simplex’s Vancouver office. He is registered with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia, and both he and Vikram serve as design consultants for the City of Surrey and other municipalities in the Lower Mainland.

Simplex was recently nominated for “Best Modern Residential Designer” and “Best Sustainable Project” by the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce. The company has worked on high-profile projects, such as Queensborough Landing and the BC Children’s Hospital Lottery Home.
