From renovation overhaul to brand-new build, DIY do-over to one-day décor dreams, the Vancouver Fall Home Show (formerly the Vancouver Home + Design Show) is where big ideas, trusted advice, and fresh inspiration unite. Back October 26-29, 2017 at the Vancouver Convention Centre - West for its 34th year, the show has officially unveiled its top five list of must-see attractions, running alongside more than 325 trusted brands and local companies, and appearances from the biggest names in the industry including HGTV Canada’s Sarah Richardson, Kortney & Dave Wilson, and Tiffany Pratt.

1. Urban Barn Main Stage
Straight from the industry’s top home and design talent on the Urban Barn Main Stage, get a crash course in creating the ultimate pad from must-see presenters including HGTV Canada’s Sarah Richardson, Kortney & Dave Wilson, Tiffany Pratt and DIY expert Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault, plus a slew of Vancouver’s very own top designers and home experts. By the end of it all, you’re certain to have everything you need to live and entertain in equal style – design know-how included.

2. Cooking Stage
Aspiring home cooks, turn up the heat and sharpen your knives - it’s your chance to get schooled by Vancouver’s top chefs on the Cooking Stage. See Vancouver’s culinary legends and modern masters, as they conduct in-depth demos featuring tried-and-true kitchen cheats, can’t-miss culinary trends, and entertaining expertise. Oh, and you might just be lucky enough to taste some of their creations!

3. WORKSHOP
Explore your senses and indulge in the creative process with WORKSHOP! Find a new hobby, uncover a new passion, and get hands-on creating in a variety of exciting workshops, including Vancouver’s own Spool of Thread and The Flower Factory. Create your very own unique floral wreath, try your hand at sewing and fashion design and more!

4. Double Take designed by Jamie Banfield Design
Not sure when to splurge and when to pinch your pennies when it comes to your home design and décor? Take insider cues from Jamie Banfield Design and discover how to recreate high-end looks without breaking the bank. Walk through this feature for a lesson in economics and explore different spaces brought to life with two different budgets. Can you tell the difference?

5. One Nightstand DIY Challenge presented by Rust-Oleum Consumer Brands Canada in support of Habitat for Humanity Society of Greater Vancouver
When it comes to your bedside tables, there’s no need for a long-term commitment. Make a statement with One Nightstand! From bright colours to luxurious textures, DIY nightstands are trending. Five of Vancouver’s most stylish tastemakers have been challenged to take a basic nightstand from basic to bold, using only Rust-Oleum® paints and stains and a frugal $50 design budget. You’ll have the chance to take their dreamy creations home and make them a part of your bedroom by placing a silent auction bid on your favourite, with 100% of auction proceeds benefitting Habitat for Humanity Society of Greater Vancouver to provide local families with a safe, affordable place to live.
