Use Wet Wipes Instead of Toilet Papers, Says Doctors

IANS, 03 Nov, 2017 05:45 PM
Excessive use of toilet papers can also cause health issues like urinary tract infection and anal fissures.

The author of The Big Necessity: The Unmentionable World of Human Waste and Why It Matters, Rose George says,’ I find it rather baffling that millions of people are walking around with dirty anuses while thinking they are clean. Toilet paper moves s***, but it doesn’t remove it.’

Many celebrities including Will Smith also agree that toilet papers are not enough and you should use wet wipes or baby wipes.

Singer and rapper Will.i.am explained this with an example while speaking to Elle Magazine. He said,’ Get some chocolate, wipe it on a wooden floor, and then try to get it up with some dry towels. You’re going to get chocolate in the cracks. That’s why you gotta get them baby wipes.’

Apart from cleanliness, people should also consider using wet wipes of other toilet paper alternatives to lower the risk of some health issues. Using toilet papers aggressively can result in anal fissure and even hemorrhoids. You may also develop urinary tract infection due to the use of toilet papers.

You can use wet wipes, which will kill the infection-causing bacteria. You can also use a bidet, which is a type of sink for washing inner buttock, anus and genitalia, to rinse away the bacteria. Bidets are used in Greece and Italy.
