This Is How The White House Celebrates Diwali

In 2009, Barack Obama was the first to light a traditional lamp in the presidential home’s East Room. A year later, his wife Michelle also spoke on Diwali night from the White House about the festival message of togetherness, pretty much summing it up for Americans!

 

Last year's Diwali saw a performance by American indie-rock band Goldspot,which is fronted by Indian Siddhartha Khosla.
