  • Big B Donates 'Silsila' Jacket To Needy For Winter
A jacket worn by Amitabh Bachchan in his iconic 1981 film "Silsila" has been donated by the megastar to the needy to battle the chilly winter.

The jacket is one among the many personal clothes that Big B has parted with for a noble cause. He has given them away to NGO Clothes Box Foundation, which makes use of people's old clothes for the poor.

"Giving to the needy my personal clothes... supporting the Clothes Box initiative by these two gems from Delhi," Amitabh tweeted on Friday night, with a photograph featuring two men.

With the hashtag '#BigBkaGift', the cinematic icon further wrote: "That jacket is the one I wore in 'Silsila'! Given to the needy for coming cold weather," he added.

The "Zanjeer" actor is known for supporting many initiatives that include polio eradication campaign and tuberculosis-free Haryana drive.

On the silver screen, the actor will next be seen in "Wazir" directed by Bejoy Nambiar. The film, which is slated to hit the theatres on January 8, 2016 also stars Farhan Akhtar, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Aditi Rao Hydari and John Abraham.
