I Feel Like A Bengali: Sushant Singh Rajput

Darpan News Desk IANS, 22 Jan, 2015 12:05 PM
  • I Feel Like A Bengali: Sushant Singh Rajput
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who will be seen in Dibakar Banerjee's "Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!", says at times he feels like he is a Bengali.

The film, based on fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshy, is set in Kolkata during the 1940s.

"My director and I went there (Kolkata) before starting the film's shooting. Dibakar told me all the things related to Kolkata and food was an integral part," Sushant said at the trailer launch of the film.

"I've tried the six-course meal. Mishti Doi, all the sweets, Maachh Bhaat and I love them.

"It was very unfortunate that I did not connect to Kolkata before this film. So, during the research I stayed there for quite a few days...and did my homework. Now, I feel like I'm a Bengali," he added.

But the actor didn't take Bengali classes for the film, which will release April 3.
