Known for its bedazzling aesthetics and nuanced craftmanship, Dolly J studio is back with yet another dreamy bridal collection

Dreamy, elegant, classic, contemporary and traditional are a few words that come to mind to describe Dolly J studio’s latest S/S21 bridal collection — Fara. Started by Delhi-based designer Dolly Jhunjhunwala, Dolly J studio strongly believes in staying true to the traditions while moving forward into a more fearless world, and the philosophy aesthetically reflects in its sartorial pieces as well.

Dolly J’s latest wedding edit — Fara, includes a wide-range of gorgeous lehengas, kalidars, saris, kurta-sharara sets and gowns.

“Fara is a story of a woman who is delightfully in love and someone who is never afraid to share happiness despite having external turbulences. Evoking that emotion, ‘Fara’ is a memoir of love, telling its tale about every bride’s dream in silk threads. Vows, love notes and letters have been painstakingly drawn and crafted on fine tulle and organza. The collection is a picturesque voyage entwined with Indian/India-contemporary silhouettes and Indian heritage crafts like Chikankari, Kamdani and Zardozi,” the designer frames her thought behind her latest collection.

While the brand’s trademark style of lucknowi chikankari, resham and zardozi embroidery work against delicate fabrics and feather details lend a fairy-tale like feel to the entire collection, the eclectic colour palette further exemplifies the beauty of the collection. “It’s a fine mix of both jewel tones and summer pastels hues. We have brides who want to go all traditional and there are a few with modern outlook so we decided to have a diversified colour scheme for the collection this time categorised in small sub-stories,” shares Dolly Jhunjhunwala.
