A 24-year-old man has been charged in the stabbing death of another man that happened in Surrey in July.
B-C's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says police were called to the scene of a fight on King George Boulevard on July 23rd and found a man identified as Jason Richard Gill suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Gill died at the scene.
Police say prosecutors have now charged a 24-year-old suspect with second-degree murder, and investigators believe the attack was isolated and the two men knew each other prior to the stabbing.
A female pedestrian is dead after she was struck by a vehicle in Richmond over the weekend. Richmond R-C-M-P say the crash happened on Oct. 14 at 6 a-m in the 7000 block of Granville Avenue.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the bombing of a hospital in Gaza is not legal and is calling the situation "absolutely unacceptable." Environment Canada has issued several wind and rainfall warnings as a "potent" fall storm bears down along B-C's coast. The weather office says strong winds with gusts up to 110 kilometres per hour are expected over parts of northern Vancouver Island, the central coast and Haida Gwaii.
