Surrey RCMP Serious Crime Unit is seeking witnesses to a shooting which occurred outside of a pub in Whalley.

At approximately 1:14 a.m. on July 19, 2021, Surrey RCMP Frontline responded to a report of an injured man under the Patullo Bridge. Frontline officers located the man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the man was shot near the Brownsville Pub in the 11900-block of Old Yale Road and they are asking for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam video to contact Surrey RCMP.

This investigation is still in the early stages, however, police believe this is a targeted incident; the victim is known to police.
