DARPAN Magazine is proud to announce the opening of nominations for the 16th Annual DARPAN Extraordinary Achievement Awards 2026, taking place on October 2, 2026, at the prestigious Aria Convention Centre in Surrey, BC.

Recognized as one of the most anticipated and celebrated events in the South Asian community, the DARPAN Extraordinary Achievement Awards honour individuals who have demonstrated exceptional excellence, leadership, innovation, and impact across a wide range of fields including business, arts and culture, community service, sports, entertainment, health care, education, philanthropy, and more.

Each year, the awards shine a spotlight on inspiring South Asian achievers whose contributions continue to shape communities, break barriers, and elevate Canadian society. Past honourees have included trailblazers, entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, medical professionals, and changemakers who have left a lasting impact both locally and globally.

The 2026 edition promises another unforgettable evening bringing together community leaders, business professionals, influencers, dignitaries, and changemakers from across British Columbia and beyond for a night dedicated to celebrating extraordinary accomplishments and inspiring stories.

DARPAN Magazine invites the community to nominate deserving individuals who embody passion, perseverance, innovation, and excellence in their respective fields.

With over 800 guests expected to attend, the DARPAN Extraordinary Achievement Awards continue to serve as a powerful platform to recognize achievement, celebrate diversity, and inspire future generations.

Nav Bhatia is best known as the Official Toronto Raptor's Superfan. Arriving in Canada in 1984 with very little to his name Bhatia worked his way to becoming the number one car salesman at Hyundai. Through his love of basketball Bhatia looks to change the perception of Sikhs and South Asians to the mainstream audience hoping for a more united community.
