TORONTO – The Canadian Academy of Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and CBC today announced the next lineup of artists set to perform at The 2023 JUNO Awards Broadcast hosted for the second time by Hollywood superstar Simu Liu. Inaugural JUNO Awards performances will be made by global Punjabi-Canadian phenomenon AP Dhillon, as well as multi-platinum songwriter/producer duo Banx & Ranx together with acclaimed singer/songwriter Preston Pablo and dance-pop icon Rêve.

JUNO Award winning country star Tenille Towns will also take the stage for the first time ever. The artists join the previously announced line-up of performances from Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee Nickelback and four-time JUNO nominee Tate McRae.

AP Dhillon, the Punjabi-Canadian singer, songwriter and producer, who debuted in 2019 with his single "Fake," will make his inaugural JUNO Award Broadcast appearance when the show touches down in Edmonton. Using his creative range to fuse South Indian and Western music cultures, AP continues his meteoric rise with hits like “Excuses,” “Brown Munde,'” “Insane,” and “Summer High” topping charts on Apple Music and Spotify around the world. With no touring history, he has managed to sell out shows across the globe, including performing to crowds of over 13,000 people at arena shows in Vancouver and Toronto. This performance will mark AP’s first time entertaining audiences in Edmonton.

Edmontonians will also be wowed by Montreal’s songwriter/producer duo Banx & Ranx crafting the sound for a special collaborative performance alongside multi-platinum rising artists Preston Pablo and Rêve. Since forming in 2014, Banx & Ranx have accumulated over two billion streams, more than one billion YouTube views and their first GRAMMY Award nomination for production on Sean Paul’s album Scorcha. Over the years, the pair has infused their signature ECM sound (Electronic Caribbean Music) into collaborations with an array of global superstars, including Dua Lipa, Ty Dolla $ign, BLACKPINK, Sia, Nicky Jam, Ellie Goulding, Shenseea and more. Last year, Banx & Ranx released their gold certified track “Headphones” featuring Rêve, their first single since partnering their label and publishing company 31 East with Universal Music Canada.

Drawing big sound out of his small town roots, Preston Pablo will get audiences in Alberta up and dancing with his impassioned songwriting that seamlessly blends R&B and Pop. His 2X platinum breakout single “Flowers Need Rain,” another collaboration featuring Banx & Ranx, is #1 at Mainstream AC radio, reached top-five at Top 40 radio, was the #1 most Shazamed track in Canada, and has amassed over 43 million streams globally. Earlier this month, Preston kicked off the year with a bang with his infectious new pop track “AY AY AY.”

With her recent single “Whitney” reaching the #1 spot on US Dance Radio, Rêve will bring her electric energy and sonic prowess of playful dance-pop to her group performance at Rogers Place. Since making her label premiere in 2021 with "Still Dancing," Rêve has amassed over 97 million global streams across a number of original singles, including the irresistible "SKIN 2 SKIN," her airy beat "Layover," the flirtatious "Tongue," and her chart-topping number "CTRL + ALT + DEL," which went platinum in under eight months and was featured on Canada's Drag Race.

Grande Prairie’s Tenille Townes will make her JUNO Awards performance debut captivating crowds with her hard-hitting lyrics in her home province this March. Her latest project Masquerades, is a meditation on self-reflection and facing flawsIt follows her acclaimed 2021 JUNO Award winning first album The Lemonade Stand.
