23 Years Of 'Khuda Gawah' Makes Big B Nostalgic

Darpan News Desk IANS, 10 May, 2015 12:13 AM
Amitabh Bachchan-starrer "Khuda Gawah" completed 23 years of its release on Friday and the megastar has gone down memory lane.

The romantic-drama revolves around an Afghan warrior played by Amitabh, who seeks final reckoning with his enemies after spending time in an Indian prison.

“23 years since the release of my film 'KHUDA GAWAH', as calculated by Pawan Pipalwa and his creatives abound,” Big B wrote on his blog.

The 72-year-old is elated about the film's journey so far and he even took to his micro-blogging website Twitter to express his happiness.

“23 years of 'Khuda Gawah' and it all comes back in a moment of memory! Vivid and fresh as the air when there in Afghanistan!!,” the ”Don” actor tweeted.

The actor also shared some anecdotes from the films and said that the events were “filled with great emotion and sentiments” and can “never be forgotten”.

The actor is a little upset about the film's data and records which have been misplaced or lost, calling it a “grave tragedy”.

“Some pictures and content were indeed taken, but they have been either misplaced or lost. This is grave tragedy. Most of our or rather, my journey, has been either not recorded or deleted.

"But I think if they are written with a certain degree of passion, there would be a plausible record to put up for posterity,” Big B wrote.

Also reminiscing the movie, he said that travels for “Khuda Gawah,” which was shot in multiple exotic places and captured by the film's director Mukul S. Anand, would be inspiring.

“The travels for the film itself would be awe inspiring - Afghanistan, Nepal, Jaipur and so many other in the deep interiors, bringing us close to the stunning visuals that we see and feel.. extraordinarily captured by that magical eye lens of Mukul Anand, our Director, lost to the world at a young age. Very young age!,” Big B wrote.

The megastar will soon be seen in Bejoy Nambiar's "Wazir".
