Abhay Deol to host TV show 'Gumrah'

Darpan News Desk IANS, 21 Aug, 2014 07:00 AM
  • Abhay Deol to host TV show 'Gumrah'
Actor-producer Abhay Deol will again be seen on the small screen as the host of "Gumrah - End of Innocence" season 4. He hopes the stories will educate parents, families and also the youth.

Channel V’s one-hour teen crime show will showcase 13 episodes starting Aug 31.

Earlier it was hosted by Karan Kundra.

“I’ve been a huge fan of the show and am excited to be a part of the greater message. ‘Gumrah’ focuses on the thought that nobody is born a criminal but instead circumstances and certain unforeseen incidents take you down a bad path.

“The idea is to not only educate parents, families but also the youth,” the actor, who had earlier presented “Connected Hum Tum”, said in a statement.

The "Socha Na Tha" star will be seen with a celebrity in each episode.

"The show is about the youth, their tryst with crime and the circumstances which led to the incident, rather than sensationalising the crime or the criminal himself,” said Ajit Thakur - EVP and business head for Channel V.
