  • Actress Deepti launches online travel channel
Actress and TV presenter Deepti Bhatnagar, pioneer of popular TV travel shows like "Yatra" and "Musafir Hoon Yaro", has launched an online travel channel called travelwithdeeptibhatnagar.

It is, says Deepti, "a platform to connect with avid travellers and guide them in their choices of the perfect destination".

She believes there will be tremendous growth in the travel business over the next five years and travelling will become even more fun and easier.

The channel features a bouquet of various formats of travel shows like "Musafir" -- a new series of "Musafir Hoon Yaaron" -- featuring newer and exotic countries, more fun and entertainment, and hosted by the actress.

"Musafir Hoon Yaaron", produced and hosted by Deepti, was the first international travel show on Indian television and has completed more than 200 episodes featuring over 80 countries.

New episodes feature winters in St. Moritz, the spring and flower festival in Kashmir, Lauterbrunnen and Bassano among others.

Another feature on the channel is "Humsafar", a travel show hosted by famous celebrity couples and their idea of travelling.

The show features global destinations. Viewers can see these places through the eyes of TV personalities like Shweta Kawatra and Manav Gohil; Kavita Kaushik and Karan Grover; Mouni Roy and Gaurav Chopra; Sai Deodhar and Shakti Anand; Teejay Sidhu and Karanvir Bohra; and Shweta Keswani and Arjun Bijlani.

The channel also features an international cookery-cum-travel show called Global Tadka, also hosted by Deepti.

The show has the host travelling to various countries and learning to prepare signature dishes from chefs around the world, including two renowned Michelin star chefs: Aurelio Barattini and Gualtiero Marchesi.

"Through this channel all travel enthusiasts can share their travel stories and videos with us. This way they can recommend places one must visit," says Deepti.

Deepti believes everybody can travel to his or her dream destination. "What one needs is proper planning and some wise decisions to make those travels cost-effective and memorable," she says.
