  • After Wedding To Anand Ahuja, Sonam Kapoor Changes Her Name To Sonam Kapoor Ahuja On Instagram

Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with her Delhi-based boyfriend Anand Ahuja on May 8. The wedding which took place at Sonam's aunt Kavita Singh's bungalow was attended by many Bollywood celebrities including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Rani Mukerji and Aamir Khan.

Sonam tied the knot according to Sikh rituals which were conducted by Mumbai's Khar west Gurudwara's Meherban Singh. The venue was decorated with flowers from Holland and Sweden.

After completing the wedding ceremony and meet and greet sessions with guests, the first thing Sonam probably did was to change her name on Instagram. The newly-wed bride will now be known as Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. See the picture below:

Sonam's sangeet took place at the actress's 35-crore luxurious duplex apartment at Sunteck Signature Island. Videos of Sonam and Anand grooving to Bollywood beats have already gone viral. Earlier, mehendi ceremony was conducted at Anil Kapoor's bungalow. Sonam, who was twinning with Anand looked drop-dead gorgeous in pastel pink lehenga.

After months of speculations, The Kapoors and The Ahujas released a joint statement on May 1 confirming the wedding. It read, “The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the May 8 in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”

Sonam's next Bollywood offering is Veere Di Wedding, which is scheduled to release on June 1.
