Aishwarya Explains Absence Of Dance In 'Jazbaa' Song

    The song "Bandeyaa" from the film "Jazbaa" features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, but sans a display of her dancing skills. The actress says the attempt was to stay true to the essence of the film, which has serious overtones.
     
    Talking about the song at a media interaction here, Aishwarya said: "We wanted to stay true to the film. Just because we had Sanjay (Gupta), I and Ahmed Khan, we didn't want to add dance moves. We just kept it very simple and stayed true to the film."
     
    Aishwarya is portraying a criminal lawyer in the film.
     
    At an event here on Monday, the former beauty queen looked stunning in a navy blue top teamed with a pair of jeans and Jimmy Choo heels.
     
    Actor Jackie Shroff, who was present at the event, praised his "Devdas" co-star as "one of the best actresses in Bollywood".
     
    The song "Bandeyaa", sung by Jubin Nautiyal and composed by Amjad-Nadeem, is an intense track, and depicts a tragic mood.
     
    Directed by Sanjay Gupta, "Jazbaa" will release on October 9.
