  • Ajay Vs Ranbir: Expect Fireworks On Diwali 2016
It seems 2016 will be a year of clashes at the box office. After an Eid release for Shah Rukh Khan's “Raees” and Salman Khan-starrer “Sultan”, fireworks at the Bollywood box office will be seen with a clash between Ranbir Kapoor's “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” and Ajay Devgn's directorial “Shivaay” on Diwali.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is directing “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, starring Ranbir, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma in the lead, announced the release of the film on Twitter.

“My next directorial film #Aedilhaimushkil starring Ranbir,Anushka and Aishwariya will release Diwali 2016...@AeDilHaiMushkil @foxstarhindi,” he tweeted.

The recce for the movie has already started and the film is all set to go on floors in October after Ranbir wraps up “Jagga Jasoos” and Aishwarya is done with “Jazbaa”.

“Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” will be produced by Fox Star India and Dharma Productions.

With Karan announcing the release date of his much ambitious project, it is quite evident that film will be clashing with Ajay’s upcoming directorial film “Shivaay” which is also slated to release on the same occasion.

The news also started trending on the micro-blogging site with the hashtag “#Diwali 2016”.

Meanwhile, Ajay is currently busy promoting his forthcoming thriller drama film “Drishyam”, which also stars Shriya Saran, Tabu and Rajat Kapoor. The film will release on July 31.
