Akshay Kumar Says 'No' To Direction

Darpan News Desk IANS, 03 Oct, 2015 12:28 PM
  • Akshay Kumar Says 'No' To Direction
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who has been a part of the entertainment industry for over two decades now, says he has no intentions of getting into film direction as he is happy "acting and producing.”

During a chat session with Twitterati for the promotion of his new film “Singh is Bliing”, when a question “Will you direct a film?” surfaced, Akshay replied: “No I'm happy acting and producing them for now.”

Directed by ace choreographer-filmmaker Prabhudheva, “Singh is Bliing”, an action comedy, is Akshay's fourth film in 2015 after espionage thriller “Baby”, vigilante-action-drama “Gabbar is Back” and action-drama film “Brothers”.

After one user shared that the 48-year-old has been trying out various genres through every film, Akshay said: “The idea is to keep doing something different...glad to know it's being noticed and more importantly appreciated.”

Released on Friday, “Singh is Bliing”, which also stars Amy Jackson, Kay Kay Menon and Lara Dutta, is Akshay's second film with Prabhudheva after 2012 film “Rowdy Rathore”.

Asked about his experience working with him, Akshay said: “Superb as always, he may be a man of few words but he knows exactly what he wants.”
