  • Akshay Kumar Takes A Dig At Karan Johar
Actor Akshay Kumar took potshots at Karan Johar's role in the Anurag Kashyap directorial "Bombay Velvet" at the trailer launch of Dharma Productions' "Brothers".

Although "Bombay Velvet" failed to create magic at the box office, Karan received accolades for his negative role in the film.

But Akshay had different a opinion of Karan's performance in the film.

"Karan, just because you have worn a velvet coat today doesn't mean you are an actor," the "Baby" star quipped at the trailer launch of "Brothers" here.

A visibly embarrassed Karan replied: "Why are you throwing salt on someone's wounds?"

Akshay joked: "I was mum all this while, but you provoked me to say this."

Directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Karan, Hiroo Yash Johar and Endemol India, "Brothers" is presented by Fox Star India, in association with Dharma Productions, Lionsgate, Endemol India, and is slated for an August 14 release.
