Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Raksha Bandhan' to release on Aug 11

Mumbai, June 16 (IANS) Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's upcoming film 'Raksha Bandhan' is all set to hit the screens on August 11.
Akshay took to Instagram, where he shared the motion teaser of the film. It also gave a glimpse of a song featured in the movie.
He wrote alongside the motion teaser: "Bringing you all a story of the purest form of bond that will remind you of yours! A#RakshaBandhanAreleasing in cinemas on 11th August, 2022."
'Raksha Bandhan' is a comedy drama film, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar. The film, directed by Aanand L. Rai, revolves around the love, bonding and attachment between brother-sister.
This will be the second time Akshay and Bhumi will be seen sharing screen space together. The two were earlier seen in 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'.
Akshay also has 'Ram Setu', 'Mission Cinderella' and 'OMG2' among many other films in his kitty.
Actor Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, popular as the on-screen buddy of superstars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Dhanush, will now essay the role of Taapsee Pannu's supportive husband in "Mission Mangal".
"Gully Boy" fame actor Vijay Varma, who will be seen in Mira Nair's series "A Suitable Boy", seems to be in awe of the director, whom he calls the "mother of filmmakers".
Actress Vaani Kapoor has wished her "War" director Siddharth Anand on his birthday on Thursday, and said that it was an absolute pleasure working with him.
Actor Mohnish Bahl who will be seen reprising his role of Dr. Shashank Gupta in "Sanjivani 2", admitted being nervous before the telecast of the upcoming medical drama, but he is also hopeful that the audience will appreciate the show.
Known for rapping in foot-tapping numbers like "All black", "Swag mera desi" and "Toh dishoom", popular rapper Raftaar wants to currently focus on music and says he may consider working as an actor as his retirement plan.
