Ali Zafar's Musical Tribute To Peshawar Attack Victims

Darpan News Desk IANS, 26 Jan, 2015 10:35 AM
  • Ali Zafar's Musical Tribute To Peshawar Attack Victims
Pakistani actor-singer Ali Zafar has brought together musicians, actors and sportspersons for the video of his new single “Urein ge”, which translates into "Will fly", to pay tribute to the victims of the Peshawar massacre.

According to the Dawn, the video will feature big names like cricketer Shoaib Malik, actor Ali Kazmi, actresses Mahira Khan and Humaima Malick.

The 34-year-old actor took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the humbling experience.

“Can't explain how humbled I feel to see the entire tv, film and music industry come together for a song I did about the #PeshawarAttack,” he wrote.

The world was left shocked in December last year by the gruesome killing of 150 people, including 140 children in an attack by a terrorist group on an army-run school in the Pakistani city of Peshawar.

The artistes, who have united for Ali's video, also expressed confidence in his musical effort to honour the lost souls.

Ali, who has appeared in several commercials in Pakistan, has also acted in TV serials “Lunda-Bazar”, “Kanch Ke Par” and teenage sitcom “Kollege Jeans” in his home country.

He made his Bollywood debut in 2010 with "Tere Bin Laden" and went on to do films like “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan", "Chashme Baddoor” and was recently seen in "Kill/ Dil" also starring Parineeti Chopra, Ranveer Singh and Govinda.
