Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who turned 61 on Monday, felt blessed with the wishes of his mother and fans.
 
Anupam's mother wished him by applying a tilak on his forehead, and by tying a sacred red threat on his wrist.
 
The actor even shared a childhood image of himself in his mother's arms, and tweeted: “When a mother wishes her son 'WohorWod Mubarak' (Happy Birthday in Kashmiri), 'years' have nothing to do with it.”
 
Over the years, Anupam has performed stage plays and has worked in the TV and film industry. Earlier this year, the government even recognised his contribution to art with a Padma Bhushan.
 
 
On his birthday, the versatile talent, who has remained in the news for his uninhibited comments on socio-political issues, also received messages from his colleagues from the film industry.
