Anupam Kher's 'Guru-Dakshina' to Mahesh Bhatt

  • Anupam Kher's 'Guru-Dakshina' to Mahesh Bhatt
It seems that veteran actor Anupam Kher, who launched his career by playing an old character in Mahesh Bhatt's 1984 film “Saaransh”, can never repay the debt that he owes the filmmaker.

Bhatt, who has not directed a film for over a decade now, took to micro-blogging site Twitter to post a photograph in which Anupam is seen giving money to him.

“Guru-Dakshina. The Saaransh of our enduring relationship is love + love + lots of money,” Bhatt captioned the image.

Interestingly, when Bhatt appeared in the first season of “The Anupam Kher Show - Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai”, Anupam said that whenever he meets his “idol” he gives some money to him for helping him establish his career.

The duo went on to work in films like “Janam”, “Daddy” and “Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin”.
