Ayushmann reaches Chandigarh to begin 'Manmarziyaan' shoot

Darpan News Desk IANS, 17 Feb, 2016 01:04 PM
  • Ayushmann reaches Chandigarh to begin 'Manmarziyaan' shoot
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who will be paired opposite his “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” co-star Bhumi Pednekar in upcoming film “Manmarziyaan”, has reached Chandigarh to start its shooting.

“Have landed in Chandigarh. 'Manmarziyaan' is about to begin,” Ayushmann posted on Twitter on Wednesday.

The film will be directed by Sameer Sharma, who earlier helmed “Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana”. It will be produced by “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” director Anand L. Rai.

Ayushmann earlier shared that he will be seen playing a Punjabi in “Manmarziyaan”.

“In ‘Manmarziyaan’, I’m playing a Punjabi, so I’ve grown a beard for it. The film is going to start in February,” Ayushmann said at an event earlier.

“I’m shooting in Punjab for the first time. In ‘Vicky Donor’, he was a Punjabi from Delhi, but here he is a proper Punjabi. There is no ‘Dillipan’ in this, it has full ‘Punjabiyat’ in the film, and it is a proper romance from the soil of Punjab,” he added.

Bhumi, who played an overweight character in “Dum Laga Ke Haisha”, has shed all the excess weight for the film. She is also learning Punjabi.
