Ben Affleck Agrees With Criticism 'Batman V Superman' Received, Says It's Fair

IANS, 06 Oct, 2017 05:36 PM
Before the release, 'Batman v Superman' was assumed to be a hit like any DC movie. But apparently post release, the critics and fans weren't much impressed in spite of the heavy Box Office success.

Much to its dismay, 'Batman v Superman' received just 27 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, which can arguably be the most divisive comic book movie of our time.

Now, according to a report on Deadline, even the Batman himself, Ben Affleck, agreed to the harsh criticism the movie received. During an interview, Affleck, who portrayed the iconic Dark Knight in the Warner Bros. superhero flick, revealed that he thinks such criticisms are 'fair'.

'I can understand people saying (Batman V Superman) was too dark, or this was outside the tone of what I'm used to seeing with a Batman story, and I think that's a fair criticism,' he said.

In a continuation to it, he further spoke about his upcoming movie 'Justice Lague' and said that it will have a lighter tone. 'Zack [Snyder] wanted to make a movie that was more fun, that was a little bit light, that wasn't so encumbered with heavy melodrama,' the 45-year-old star said.

Director Joss Whedon is completing work on 'Justice League,' following the tragic death of Snyder's daughter. The flick is scheduled to release on November 17.
