'Bhoot Purva' Actors Discover 'Same Old' Baba Sehgal

Darpan News Desk IANS, 07 May, 2019 09:47 PM

As the celebrated Hindi rapper Baba Sehgal is set to make digital debut with the web series titled "Bhoot Purva", lead actors Omkar Kapoor and Zoa Morani say being his fan since childhood, they were excited to work with the "Ice Ice Baby" rapper.

Omkar, who is playing the lead role in the show and shares many scenes with Sehgal, told IANS here: "You know nothing has changed in his appearance from what he used to be when I was growing up watching him on TV. He still looks the same he would look then. Nothing has changed about him -- be it his energy, rapping, talking... He is the same Baba Sehgal we all know of."

The cast were gathered on a promotional event of the show along with director Zeishan Quadri, though Sehgal was not present owing to some prior commitment.

"Since he would rap on sets when we won't be shooting, even I started picking up how to rap - it's so much fun," he added.

The show "Bhoot Purva" a horror comedy. Baba Sehgal is playing the character of Yamraj.

Zoa, who is bringing the twist in the tale, said: "I am such a huge fan of his - so when I got to know that he is also part of our show, I was very excited. When I met him I was amazed because he is a very down to earth person though he tasted success as a VJ and a rapper. I mean...who didn't watch him on 'Superhit Muqabla'. On the sets, he used to do instant raps and we would enjoy that so much!"
