  • Big B makes 'Piku' event special for journalists' parents
As “Piku” dwells on a father-daughter relationship, a unique promotional stint was planned for the unveiling of its trailer here. Mediapersons invited to the launch were asked to bring their parents to meet the star cast -- Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan.

Big B unveiled the film's official trailer on Wednesday along with the other actors and the film's director Shoojit Sircar.

Post the event, the 72-year-old took to his blog and shared the experience of the event.

He wrote: “At the press release (launch) of the trailer today we called the press and asked them to bring their parents along... it was so wonderful to be in their company ...to see their children conduct their jobs, that of journalists, which perhaps they never get to see... and then meeting all of them on stage and getting a picture taken was just amazing.”

Amitabh also posted some photographs of the event, and described how one scribe's mother "simply broke down after seeing and meeting me"

"She never believed that one day she would get to meet me...such a tender moment," he added.

Written by Juhi Chaturvedi, "Piku" is slated to release on May 8.
