  • 'Bigg Boss 8' Champions Gear Up For 'Bigg Boss Halla Bol'
The conclusion of reality TV show "Bigg Boss 8" marked the arrival of special series "Bigg Boss Halla Bol", Saturday with its top five champions-- Karishma Tanna, Gautam Gulati, Pritam Singh, Dimpy Mahajan and Ali Quli Mirza, pitted against five challengers.

For the special series, Rahul Mahajan, Sambhavna Seth, Ajaz Khan, Mahek Chahal and Sana Khan from the previous "Bigg Boss" seasons have been roped in. They will enter the "Bigg Boss" house to fight it out with the champions for the winner spot.

While "Bigg Boss 8" was hosted by superstar Salman Khan, the "Bigg Boss Halla Bol" will be anchored by filmmaker Farah Khan.

Salman, who has hosted the show multiple times, had to leave the show due to his prior commitment to a film project. He passed on the charge of the show to Farah in form of the special series.

The transition from Salman to Farah was also interesting as the episode showed Salman entering washroom only to come out as Farah. When Farah took the stage, she was welcomed by a letter by Salman explaining the reason behind his exit and expressing hope in her.

In the last part of the episode, Salman apologised for his exit and emanated viewer's curiosity with "I'll be back".

" We always try to finish what we start. But this season it is not feasible with the extension of the show. I tried but it didn't work out. I'm sad that I'm leaving the show in between. I know Farah will handle the show well as she is my friend and a big fan of the show. I know the show is in safe hands.

"I would like to apologise for leaving like this. I will always stay connected to the show and watch the episodes. And if I get some free time from shooting, I will come back," he said.

Actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal, who had came to the show to promote their upcoming movie "Roy", were also given a task to bring out an eliminated contestant. They went inside the house announced the first eviction of the day-- model Sonali Raut.

The second eviction was announced with drama and hype as Salman brought actor Puneet Issar out of the house.

The finale of "Bigg Boss 8" was packed with fun, energy and humour. As evicted contestants like Upen Patel, Diandra Soares and Praneet Bhatt entered the house once again to shake a leg with their friends.

While Diandra delivered a sensuous performance with Gautam on "Galliyan", Praneet danced with his group Puneet, Gautam and Pritam, also known as P3G, on "Kill dil".

The finale episode also highlighted highs and lows of the ongoing season. In the episode, Salman was as witty and humorous as he is known to be.

The new series, which is aired on Colors channel, is expected to conclude by the end of January.
