As the Irish government has approved the same-sex marriage with 1.2 million people of Ireland voting in its favour, B-Town celebrities including Hrithik Roshan have also supported the decision.

On Friday, Ireland voted in a referendum -- whether the Constitution should be changed so as to extend civil marriage rights to same-sex couples. From early Saturday, large crowds gathered at Dublin Castle to hear the final official result.

Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny also welcomed the results, saying that Ireland has become the first country in the world to vote for equal marriage.

Hrithik Roshan: A worlds first. Live n let live.

Onir: Ireland Becomes First Country to Vote in Favour of Gay Marriage

Esha Gupta: Well done Ireland.. First country to legalise gay marriage by the highest vote

Vir Das: Well done Ireland!

Shirish Kunder: Congratulations Ireland! I don't have any problem with legalizing same-sex marriage in India too, as long as they don't make it compulsory.
