Both 'Mohenjo Daro' And 'rustom' Should Be Superhits: Gowariker

    "Mohenjo Daro", featuring Hrithik Roshan, will be clashing with Akshay Kumar-starrer "Rustom" at the box office. But Ashutosh Gowariker, who has directed the former, says both the films should be a superhit.
     
    Asked if the clash is of any concern, Gowariker said: "The thought did come to our mind that the films will clash and box office will get affected, but then even 'Sholay' and 'Jai Santoshi Maa' released on same date and 'Jai Santoshi Maa' was a bigger hit because its cost of recovery was higher.
     
    "'Lagaan' and 'Gaddar' had released on the same date too. So, I feel 'Mohenjo Daro' should also work and 'Rustom' should also work. Both the films should be superhits."
     
    The movies will hit the screens on August 12.
     
    Talking about "Mohenjo Daro", which also stars Pooja Hegde, Gowariker said: "Language was a difficult topic for this film. We thought we will have a blend of a bit of Sindhi, a bit of Hindi and it creates the feeling of the old world. I didn't want the audience to get alienated... Everybody should understand it."
     
    The movie is an epic adventure-romance, set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation.
     
    What fascinates him to make period dramas?
     
    He said: "I have often asked this question to myself and I realised that I get excited by untold stories. It excites me to get into that time. I used to fail in history. I never used to remember dates, but the idea of telling untold stories inspired me," he said.
