Cannes 2017: After Deepika-priyanka Name Goof-Up, Now Sonam Mistaken For Deepika

Darpan News Desk IANS, 23 May, 2017 02:00 PM
While posting Bollywood fashionista Sonam Kapoor's red carpet picture from Cannes, the popular photo stock agency wrote, “Indian actress Deepika Padukone arrives for the film The Meyerowitz Stories in competition at the 70th Annual International Film Festival in Cannes, France on May 21, 2017."

Well, this comes as a sudden shock, because Sonam has been a regular at this prestigious event since 2011, while this was Deepika's maiden appearance at Cannes.

Coming back to the leggy lass Deepika, when she was questioned back in Mumbai about being offended by the name goof-up incident, she went ahead and termed it as racism and said, “Absolutely. It's not just me being offended.

Everyone should be offended. It is not just ignorance, it is racist. Two people of the same colour aren't the same. You should educate them and not encourage them."

Well, the beautiful trio of Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor, who were representing a renowned cosmetic brand in common at the French Riviera, slayed the red carpet with every appearance of theirs.
