Can't relate to my 'Ki and Ka' character: Arjun Kapoor

Darpan News Desk IANS, 10 Feb, 2016 11:09 AM
  • Can't relate to my 'Ki and Ka' character: Arjun Kapoor
After portraying a goal-oriented IIM student in "2 states", actor Arjun Kapoor will be seen essaying a house husband in the upcoming film "Ki and Ka". He says cannot relate to his "unambitious" character from the R. Balki directorial.

"My character Kabir is not ambitious, unlike me. So I cannot say I can relate to him," Arjun told IANS.

The 30-year-old actor will be seen playing an IIT graduate and a house husband to actress Kareena Kapoor Khan's character Kia, an ambitious and a career-oriented woman in the upcoming romantic comedy which is slated to hit the screens on April 1.

"He (my character) has grown up wanting to be like his mother and not like his father. But he has tremendous respect for people who work. He does not look down upon work. He is not a slacker. He's an educated boy from IIT. But he is very clear about why the way he is," he added about his character.

Arjun says the concept of "Ki and Ka" is essentially about the importance of understanding in a marriage despite the fact that the wife is a working professional and the husband stays at home.

"Society takes some time to understand these things, but that is the quirk of the film, I think," Arjun added.

"Ki and Ka" also features megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his actress-politician wife Jaya Bachchan in a cameo.
