  • Celebs Urge Fans To Have 'no Crackers', Eco-Friendly Diwali
Don't burst firecrackers and go for an eco-friendly Diwali instead, popular television celebrities like Jennifer Winget, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Ritwik Dhanjani and Devoleena Bhattacharjee have urged fans while wishing them a happy festive season.

Here's what these celebs have said:

Jennifer Winget: I would like to wish all my fans a very Happy Diwali from the entire team of ‘Beyhadh'. This Diwali, I urge everyone to spend time with their loved ones and also abstain from bursting crackers. Animals are extremely scared of crackers and it also adds to a lot of pollution so please have a safe Diwali.

Ritwik Dhanjani: This festival of lights always brings out the festive side in me. Decorating my home by lighting diyas and lights is a lot of fun. Wishing everyone to stay safe and enjoy this festival to the fullest and request everybody to not burst crackers this Diwali.

Supriya Pilgaonkar: Everything about Diwali is special for me, be it the fire crackers, the sweets or the entire family getting together to pray for peace and prosperity. I love it all and look forward to this wonderful festival.

Kushal Tandon: Diwali is my most favourite festival out of all. It brings so much love, light, positivity, sweets and gifts. I always celebrate Diwali in my home town with family.

Aneri Vajani: I celebrate Diwali with my family. As a child I used to burst a lot of crackers, but I have stopped doing so as it's harmful for animals. Have a happy and safe Diwali and request you to not burst crackers as the pets around get really scared.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee: This Diwali, I'll go to friends place and will do Laxmi Puja with mother and family friends at home. As I love animals, so I'll enjoy cracker free Diwali.

Mahika Sharma: Diwali is family time. It's one festival which is keenly awaited by many as we get to do a lot of things - wearing new clothes, eating so many sweets, decorate our house. One thing which I don't like is people firing crackers. I am totally against that as our environment is affected by it.

Kunal Jaisingh: Diwali is family time for me. I will go to my dad's office and do puja, then will do the same back home. I will also do party with my friends, but will not burst crackers as I care for environment and animals, and don't want to harm them.

Roop Durgapal: I have bought a lot of diyas -- colourful ones and basic ones too. I am not decorating my house with Chinese lights this time. But yes no crackers as I have seen in my society how dog owners face problem and even street is home to many dogs.

Tejaswi Prakash: Diwali will be family and friends time. I will be helping my parents in decorating home and making sweets. But I will not switch to crackers which create sound pollution. I will make a way to distribute sweets to poor kids around the signals.

Dev Joshi: It will be after four years that I will be celebrating Diwali in Gujarat with my family and friends. I plan to wear a traditional kurta pyjama on the day of Diwali. I want to have a fun and cracker-free Diwali. Crackers result in a lot of pollution to the environment and so I would request our viewers to not burst them.

Rituraj Singh: Diwali as a festival is closest to my heart and like every year this Diwali also will be at home with my family. My message to fans would be that Diwali is a festival of light and not noise. Don't burst crackers.

Priyal Gor: I am a Gujarati and the next day of Diwali is our celebration for the New Year. Additionally, my birthday is on November 2, hence Diwali is a time of complete celebration for me. I don't burst crackers at all.
