Clash Doesn't Matter: 'Dilwale', 'Bajirao Mastani' Stars

Darpan News Desk IANS, 29 Nov, 2015 01:47 PM
Rohit Shetty's "Dilwale" and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Bajirao Mastani" are releasing together on December 18, but the actors in the two films are nonchalant about the clash as they believe the two movies are very different from each other.

Actress Priyanka Chopra, who features in period drama "Bajirao Mastani", said: “We are not competing with 'Dilwale'. People have made that notion that both the movies are competing.”

While "Dilwale" brings back the iconic onscreen pair of Shah Rukh and Kajol together again, "Bajirao Mastani" features Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka in a story woven around 18th century Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao I.

“I think both of them are beautiful and different kind of films. The genres of both the films are different, and they are made by two prolific filmmakers," added Priyanka.

Meanwhile, Kriti, who is paired with Varun Dhawan in "Dilwale", said: "I have seen the trailer of 'Bajirao Mastani' and I loved it. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's world is very different and very lavish. It looks stunning."

The actress, like Priyanka said: "Both the films are very different".

"Their genres are different and I am sure they have a different audience as well. I don't think it really matters. It's a festive season and I don't think it should be a problem."
