Count Me As A Fresh Singer: Shaan

Darpan News Desk IANS, 22 Sep, 2015 11:22 AM
  • Count Me As A Fresh Singer: Shaan
Shaan, an established playback singer, says he doesn't want to be labelled as a senior artist.

During a press conference of musical extravaganza "Suron Ke Rang Colors Ke Sang - Salaam Shri Gulshan Kumar", Colors CEO Raj Nayak said that it is a platform to give a chance to new talent and that they will continue doing three to four shows every year.

When Shaan was called on stage, he thanked everyone and said: "As Raj sir is talking about giving a chance to only new talents...even I have kept myself as a brand new person. I don't want to be an old man, so count me as a fresh singer. I don't want to be labelled as a senior artist. I would always like to be with the younger generation."

He was present at the conference along with actor Ayushmann Khurrana and singer Sonu Nigam.

Shaan was happy to be a part of the event which celebrates music. "It's a great connect. I am honoured to be associated with the concert. I have requested Sonu Nigam to keep me in the dance segment. Enough of singing romantic songs," he said.

The event is a musical concert in tribute to Gulshan Kumar and to celebrate three decades to T-Series. Ayushmann, Sonu and Shaan are the hosts.
