Didn't Know If I Would Ever Get Married: Madhavan

Darpan News Desk IANS, 29 Jan, 2016 12:54 PM
  • Didn't Know If I Would Ever Get Married: Madhavan
R. Madhavan can perhaps be described as the "tall, dark and handsome" star of Bollywood as well as southern film industry. But he jokes that he was never sure whether he would ever get married due to his dark complexion.

"Sarita (my wife) was my student and she asked me out on a date one day. I was a dark man and thought it was an opportunity. Didn’t know if I would ever get married so I grabbed on to the opportunity and married her,” Madhavan quipped.

The actor, who has starred in "Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein" and "3 Idiots", shared tidbits about his personal life in Zoom TV's show "Yaar Mera Superstar".

Madhavan has come back on the Hindi silver screen as a strict boxing coach in "Saala Khadoos" after his successful gentlemen act in "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" last year. The film, written and directed by Sudha Kongara, released on Friday.
