  • Dilip Kumar’s Condition 'Not Good', Not On Ventilator, But Will Need Dialysis
Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who has been admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital due to the kidney issues, is not on ventilator yet, but he will need dialysis.

Dr Jalil Parkar revealed that the condition of the 94-year-old actor, who was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday morning, is not good and he will need a dialysis.

“His haemoglobin is decreasing and potassium is increasing, creatinine is still rising, He will need a dialysis,” Dr Parkar added.

This is the third time the actor has been admitted to the hospital. In December, the Padma Vibhushan awardee was brought in for a swelling in his right leg and in April last year, he took ill with pneumonia, but made a quick recovery in two days.

“We have to pray he recovers soon. He should be well Inshallah! God willing. The doctors are treating him,” Saira Banu told this morning, when asked about reports that Kumar is suffering from a renal ailment.

Known as the Tragedy King, Kumar has acted in over 65 films in his career and is known for his iconic roles in movies like Devdas (1955), Naya Daur (1957), Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Ganga Jamuna (1961), Kranti (1981), and Karma (1986).

Last seen on the big screen in Qila in 1998, the actor was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
