Ekta Kapoor Made Me Look Old Way Before ‘FaceApp’ Came: Smriti Irani

Darpan News Desk IANS, 18 Jul, 2019 09:18 PM

BJP leader Smriti Irani nailed the grey hair and wrinkled look way before Bollywood celebrities went gaga over the latest FaceApp fad of posting snapshots where they look old.

Smriti shared a throwback picture of herself, which appears to be from the sets of her iconic TV soap "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" and credited producer Ekta Kapoor for ageing her much before FaceApp made it the in-thing.

"When Ekta Kapoor gets to you before the #faceappchallenge #tbt."LOL," Smriti captioned the image.

Ekta reacted to the image soon. "And you do it like a boss! It was the third leap..." she wrote.

Smriti Irani played Tulsi Virani on "Kyunki Saas Bhi...", which ran from 2000 to 2008. The show's storyline included three time leaps - the first one jumped 20 years to show Tulsi and husband Mihir Virani as parents, and the second one jumped another 20 years to show them as grandparents.
