    'The King of Bollywood' Shah Rukh Khan finds himself in an interrogation room in the first official look at the 'Bard of Blood'. In this promotional teaser, Shah Rukh takes a cheeky dig at his career spanning from DDLJ to Chak De! India. He starts to question Emraan Hashmi's 'Adonis' but soon finds the tables turned on him.


    Red Chillies released the first trailer for 'Bard of Blood' today on their Instagram account with a post that reads, 'Legendary actor vs. legendary spy. Who will win this battle of wits? @iamsrk @therealemraan @netflix_in@BardOfBlood.''



    Following the success of 'Sacred Games',' Bard of Blood' is an upcoming Netflix original series from India based on Bilal Siddiqi's novel of the same name. 'Bard of Blood' stars Emraan Hashmi playing the titular role with Kirti Kulhari (Pink), Vineet Kumar Singh (Mukkabaaz), Jaideep Ahlawat (Gangs of Wasseypur), Amyra Dastur ( Netflix's Rajma Chawal), Shashank Arora (Amazon's Made in Heaven), and Suhail Nayyar (Hotel Mumbai), and Sobhita Dhulipala (Raman Raghav 2.0).


    'Bard of Blood' by Bilal Siddiqui is an espionage novel is about Kabir Anand, a Shakespeare professor is called back to his old life at the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) after his mentor Saadiq Sheikh. Also hot on his trail are Mullah Omar and ISI.


    In an interview last year, Emraan Hashmi has called the show ambitious and looks forward to the multitudes of people seeing it. Sobhita Dhulipala, who is said to play a crucial part in the series, has said that the show is unlike any of her previous projects.


    The eight-part series has been written by Bilal himself, with Sujoy Ghosh directing and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Reh Chillies Entertainment' bankrolling the project. It will premiere of Netflix on September 27, 2019.
