Every Sport Should Be Given Equal Importance: Jacqueline Fernandez

Darpan News Desk IANS, 18 Dec, 2017 12:23 PM
Actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who is the co-owner of Delhi Heroes for the Super Fight League (SFL) -- a mixed martial arts tournament -- says all sports should be given equal importance in the country.

Asked if she feels martial arts needs to be spotlighted in India, Jacqueline told IANS over phone from Mumbai: "I feel all sports should be (spotlighted). Every sport should be given equal importance."

Jacqueline, 32, says the unique part about the second season of the MTV channel's show is that women are a part of the fight league too.

"What's very unique about this as well is the fact that they have really encouraged the women in the sport. They are a part of every single team and they are just as important as every one else. That for me is like a huge achievement," she added.

The "Judwaa 2" actress says she is confident about her team this year.

"Considering the fact that we did very well last year. We played really well. I really have a lot of confidence in the team. We have got some really strong players and our captain Jason Ramesh Solomon is also extremely promising. I am very confident for them this year," she said.

On the acting front, Jacqueline currently has two films in her kitty -- "Race 3" and "Drive".
