Feeling Like A Star: 'DID Super Moms' Winner

IANS, 15 Jun, 2015 12:00 PM
Mumbai-based housewife Harpreet Khatri, winner of the second season of dance reality show “Dance India Dance Super Moms”, is "flying without wings" after tasting victory. She asserts mothers should not kill their dreams after marriage.

A trained dancer, Harpreet pipped Somya Shree from Karnataka, Sneha Adapawar of Mumbai and Delhi-based Dipashree Chatterjee to win the title.

“It's a beautiful feeling altogether. I feel like a star, and I'm literally flying without wings. I want to dedicate my win to everyone. Firstly, I want to thank my family - my husband, mother-in-law and my mother,” Harpreet told IANS.

“All the mothers in the world are 'Super Moms', so this win is for all of them. I am 100 percent sure that my win is going to motivate every mother. To those, who are still not confident, they should start fulfilling their dreams,” added the mother of one and half year old son Dakshesh.

The 32-year-old, who assisted ace choreographers like Vaibhavi Merchant, Farah Khan and Bosco-Caesar before she got married, believes there is no age limit to fulfil dreams in life.

“You should keep your passion alive in your heart even after marriage. I know life is very different after marriage and pregnancy, but still a mother can take time out from her busy schedule to live her dreams. There is no age limit to achieve something new in life,” she said.

Harpreet had the full support of her family during her journey in “DID Super Moms”.

“My husband was a backbone to me. He asked me to give the auditions and even motivated me to turn dancer.

“Since childhood, I have been very fond of dancing. You can call me a born dancer. I took inspiration from Govinda-ji. In my school, I was zero in studies and hero in dancing. So my win is dedicated to my family.”

Asked about her future plans, Harpreet said: “I've no plans for future. Right now, I'm happy with the completion of 'DID Super Moms'. I want to focus on my family. After sometime, I'll decide what I've to do next. I want to become a choreographer. Also, I'm anxious about acting. I want to choreograph for Govinda, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Madhuri Dixit."
