Mumbai Police have filed a complaint against Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor for allegedly trimming a tree near his bungalow in suburban Khar.
According to Khar Police a non-cognizable offence (NC) was first filed against the actor and after he failed to respond, an FIR was lodged against him on a complaint filed by the Mumbai municipal corporation.
The FIR also named a contractor appointed by the actor to trim the tree.
Kapoor later told reporters that all permissions were obtained to trim the tree, but the contractor chopped more of it than was permitted.
