  • First Look: 'On A Quest', A Biopic Movie on Swami Chinmayananda
On A Quest is a movie aimed at staging the life and vision of Swami Chinmayananda, founder of Chinmaya Mission, an organization propagating the teachings of Vedanta to the world.

The spiritual organization also seeks to celebrate the Swami’s birth centenary with the screening of the movie across the globe.

Sri Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati and his endeavours to spread the knowledge of Advaita Vedanta, have not only echoed through borders but have in fact inspired modern times with Vedanta, which is the thrust of spiritual liberation in Hinduism. But who was Swami Chinmayananda before he inspired millions across the globe?

What caused the transformation of a rebellious youth, a revolutionary freedom fighter, an interrogative journalist and an atheist, into an enlightened master? The answers can be found in the first ever film based on the life of Swami Chinmayananda in On A Quest.

Produced by Chinmaya Creations and directed by R.S Prasanna, the movie gracefully showcases the journey of Balakrishna Menon, a young atheist who is on a quest to find the truth. This path, filled with questions and answers ultimately leads into his creation of a visionary Guru whose words continue to kindle yearning for the ultimate truth amongst the masses.

The movie had its first screening in Vancouver on June 27th. In case you missed out, there will be a second screening in August.

Following are the details:
When: Saturday, August 8th
Where: Vancity Theatre
Timing: 11a.m.-1p.m.
