Friendship Day: Farhan Gets Nostalgic Over 'Dil Chahta Hai'

    On the occasion of Friendship Day on Sunday, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar recalled his directorial debut film “Dil Chahta Hai” which focussed on a period of transition in the lives of three young friends, played by Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna.
     
    Farhan took to Twitter to share a snapshot of the first sequence of the 2001 film, in which the three actors are seen together.
     
    “August 2000. 15 yrs ago, we rolled this... the 1st shot of DCH. Forever thankful to my cast, crew and you the viewers,” Farhan captioned the image.
     
    The name of the film is trending on the micro-blogging site under the hashtag 'Dil Chahta Hai'.
     
    Apart from Aamir, Saif and Akshaye, the film also starred Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kapadia.
