Gurinder Chadha, the co-producer of "Desi Rascals", has thanked Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan for "playing along" a cameo in the TV show.
 
"@SrBachchan legend makes a special appearance on @DesiRascals that was quite a surprise eh...thank you sir for playing along," tweeted the British film 
 
director of Sikh origin, who is currently in India to scout locations for her next film.
 
The Big B is said to have shot for the cameo when he was in London to promote his forthcoming film "Shamitabh". His special appearance on the real-life 
 
drama series was aired on Sky Living Friday night.
 
Talking about it, the 72-year-old had himself tweeted Friday: " Tonight I make a special guest appearance on @Desi Rascals, 8pm on @SkyLivingHD 
 
#DesiRascals" ...quite a unique concept."
 
The show, from Chadha of "Bend it Like Beckham" and "Bride & Prejudice" fame, chronicles the lives of a multi-generational cast within the British-Asian 
 
community.
 
"'Desi Rascals' tells the stories of a modern, dynamic and aspirational group of characters across a range of ages as they navigate their social, professional 
 
and family lives in a fast changing community," reads a description of the show on Sky Living's official website.
 
Meanwhile, Chadha is busy with the recce of locations for her movie on partition. On a visit to Delhi, she even met Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this 
 
week.
