Hera Pheri Filmmaker Neeraj Vora In Coma Since 10 Months

Darpan News Desk IANS, 28 Aug, 2017 02:24 PM
Popular comic actor Neeraj Vora has reportedly been in coma for the past 10 months. He slipped into coma after suffering from a near-fatal combination of a heart attack and a brain stroke on 19 October last year.

Vora, who played memorable roles in films like Welcome Back, Phir Hera Pheri, Virasat, and Satya, was being treated at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS). He was later shifted to friend and producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s residence, where a room has been converted into a makeshift ICU for him

According to Nadiadwala, a ward boy, nurse and a cook have been appointed since March this year only to attend to Vora. Apart from them, he is visited by a physiotherapist, neuro surgeon, acupuncture therapist and a general physician every week to check on his health. Vora has reportedly started showing signs of recovery.

One of his friends who often visits him at Nadiadwala’s residence was quoted by a leading entertainment portal as saying that he has started responding to external stimuli and sensations and this, in turn, has raised expectations of him bouncing back to life soon.

Vora’s upcoming film, Hera Pheri 3 has also been shelved at the moment till he recovers. The director has, in the past, also written the screenplays of films like ‘Rangeela’, ‘Akele Hum Akele Tum’ and ‘Chori Chori Chupke Chupke’ to name a few. On the personal front, reports indicate that his wife passed away a couple of years ago and has no children.
