I Agree With Kangana Ranaut, Some People Writing Anything: Rishi Kapoor

Darpan News Desk IANS, 18 Jul, 2019 09:22 PM

Rishi Kapoor has shared an update about his health. He recently revealed that his cancer is in remission and he has one cycle of treatment left to cover.

In conversation with News Daily, Rishi clarified that he is in perfect health now. He said it was a gap of six weeks between treatments and it’s the reason why he stayed in New York for over nine months.

Rishi admits that he constantly misses home. After he is done with his consolidation chemotherapy, he plans to return to India by the end of August.

However, he declined to specify the kind of cancer he was battling, saying the disease could be discussed later.

Rishi posted pictures with friends and family throughout his treatment, so that people could see he was doing fine. In reference to his appearance, he explained that while it was true that he initially lost 26kg because of lack of appetite, his white hair was for a film he was shooting right before he was diagnosed.

Rishi further dismissed reports that he was unhappy with the release of his upcoming film ‘Jhootha Kahin Ka’. He claimed he had not spoken to media at all and agreed with actress Kangana Rananut about certain journalists tarnishing the credibility of others.

“I agree with Kangana Ranaut that some people write anything and as a result, serious journalists get drawn into the controversy. Though I do not entirely agree with what Kangana said, on this point anyone can get upset,” Rishi said.

Rishi said that he had been choosing more comedy films lately because he felt he didn’t get a crack at the genre when he was younger.

He stated that once he gets back he wanted to jump straight into work, having one prior commitment and agreed to one other film.

Rishi ended the interview by mentioning all his family members, who supported and stood by him throughout his recovery, including son Ranbir Kapoor, niece Natasha and sister Ritu Nanda.
