I Don't Copy Anybody, Says Varun Dhawan

Darpan News Desk IANS, 25 Jul, 2016 11:26 AM
  • I Don't Copy Anybody, Says Varun Dhawan
Actor Varun Dhawan, who will next be seen with John Abraham in "Dishoom", says he prefers to be original than try to copy any other actor.

"I actually don't try to copy anybody. Obviously, I am the youngest in Bollywood. I've been brought up during the time of the 1990s films and have watched Salman bhai (Salman Khan), Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan's movies. Also I have watched all of John Abraham's films," Varun said at a press conference of his brother Rohit Dhawan's directorial "Dishoom" here on Monday.

"If you ask me whether I have copied John in 'Dishoom', then I will say that it was only one scene where we were wearing orange underwear."

"That's where I got inspired by John as he is often seen in this avatar in every fourth film of him. Only colour of the underwear changes," he quipped.

The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez. Besides them, the film also features Parineeti Chopra in a cameo.

Asked about his chemistry with Parineeti in the special song "Jaaneman aah", Varun said: "It was really nice working with Parineeti. She is a very talented actress. She is looking so good now. In fact, I call her 'Parineeti 2.0' now."

"Dishoom" is set to release on Friday.
