I Feel Empowered After 'Haider': Shahid Kapoor

    Shahid Kapoor, who won the Best Actor award at the 21st Annual Life OK Screen Awards for the film “Haider”, says he feels empowered after doing the film.
     
    “I think films like 'Haider' should create a new universe for the entire generation of new actors. I feel very empowered after having done a film like 'Haider'.
     
    "I feel that I can do films that I truly believe in and I can do the work that I probably became an actor to do,” Shahid said at the red carpet event of Screen Awards.
     
    Shahid hopes that films like "Haider" do well at the box office as they are inspirational and fearless.
     
    “So, I hope more films like 'Haider' do well. 'Haider' really isn't individual achievement the idea is to be able to do cinema that is inspiring, that is fearless. I hope more people go out and make films like 'Haider',” he said.
     
    Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, “Haider” was an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet. The film was released Oct 2 last year.
